Long Rains (March – May): Heavy, sustained rains make some areas difficult to access but keep landscapes lush.

Long Dry Season (June – October): Sunny and dry with excellent game viewing, including the Great Migration in the Serengeti.

Short Rains (November – December): Brief showers refresh the landscape without disrupting travel.

Short Dry Season (January – February): Hot and mostly dry, another great time for wildlife viewing and coastal travel.

Top Regions To Visit

Serengeti National Park

A vast golden savannah where time seems to stand still, the Serengeti is the stage for one of nature’s greatest performances: the Great Migration. Beyond the spectacle, it’s a place of quiet drama, acacia-dotted plains, glowing sunsets and intimate camps where lion calls lull you to sleep.

Ngorongoro Crater

An ancient volcanic caldera turned wildlife sanctuary, Ngorongoro feels like a world apart. The crater floor teems with life, from rhinos grazing on open grasslands to flamingos shimmering across the lakes, all framed by lush highlands and cool mist rolling down from the rim.

Ruaha National Park

Remote, rugged, and beautifully untouched, Ruaha remains one of Tanzania’s best-kept secrets. Elephants gather in great numbers beneath the baobabs and the sense of solitude is unmatched. It’s a destination for those who value authenticity and the quiet thrill of true wilderness.

Selous (Nyerere National Park)

Expansive waterways, open woodlands and a rare feeling of stillness define the Selous. Boat safaris along the Rufiji River reveal hippos and crocodiles at eye level, while drives through the bush offer encounters with wild dogs and big game, all without the crowds.

Tarangire National Park

Often overlooked in favour of its better-known neighbours, Tarangire surprises with its drama and diversity. During the dry months the river becomes a lifeline for large herds of elephant and buffalo, while the park’s sweeping vistas and ancient baobabs make it one of northern Tanzania’s quiet triumphs.

Unforgettable Experiences

Sleep Under the Stars on a Mobile Serengeti Safari and move with the wildlife in a fully private mobile camp. Wake to the distant roar of lions, enjoy breakfast on the plains, and experience the Serengeti in total seclusion, far from the usual safari crowds.

Take a Private Helicopter Flight Over the Ngorongoro Highlands to see the crater and surrounding highlands from above. Land at hidden vantage points for a picnic among flamingos or visit remote Maasai villages inaccessible by road for an intimate cultural encounter.

Stargaze at Mount Kilimanjaro's Base and experience Kilimanjaro without climbing it. Stay at a luxury tented lodge at its base, enjoy private evening stargazing and sip sundowners while the mountain glows in the sunset, completely undisturbed by other guests.

Relax in natural hot springs near Lake Manyara, surrounded by dramatic cliffs and wildlife. Enjoy a bespoke wellness experience including massages, meditation and private dining under the open sky.

Take a guided night Walk through the Crater Rim Forests with an expert guide to spot nocturnal wildlife and learn about the highland ecosystem. Conclude with a starlit dinner overlooking the crater.
